Melbourne Oztams - 102,000 viewers

 Thank you Melbourne!

The official television rating bureau, OzTam, have released their Melbourne viewing figures for Latin Dance Alive. The survey period was week 2 in January, and Latin Dance Alive attracted 102,000 viewers across the 2 screenings of our show each week (first run Sunday night, repeat Monday night).

This is a 50% increase in viewers since the last survey in the second week of November. Latin Dance Alive has also moved up from 7 to 3 amongst C31's top shows.  Also significant is that more than half our audience we know tuned in specially to see our show. To put this in perspective, one Melbournian in 40 is watching Latin Dance Alive.  I have been asked why we didnt pitch the show at Foxtel, this is the answer, these ratings are twice what FoxTel could deliver.

As a comparison, Melbourne's most poopular show that week was the Tennis on Channel 7, it attracted 500,000 viewers. The Channel 10 show "Dont forget the Lyrics" is a national winner at #20, but only attracted 270,000 viewers. That makes our 102,000 look pretty significant.  We will not know how Sydney went as TVS do not pay for Oztam ratings, but we do know that TVS in Sydney attracts 20% more viewers than C31 Melbourne.

All I can say is WOW! Thanks to everyone involved in this project, and stay tuned for series 2! data
