The Swing Dance Downunder West Coast Swing Social club, founded August 2007, is a not-for-profit organisation designed to support and grow interest in West Coast Swing dancing in Australia and New Zealand.

Our honorary members Deborah Szekely and Robert Cordoba provide guidance and support to the social club organizing committee along with Annie Hirsch (World Swing Dance Council) and Jack Carey, and last but never least Deb Narasaki from The Next Generation Swing club in San Francisco. She is our biggest supporter at events across the USA.

Swing Dance Downunder will support West Coast Swing with the following actions;

• Maintain the Swing Dance Downunder website
• Organise not-for-profit socials to ensure a regular opportunity to practice social West Coast Swing dancing
• Support all our Dance Schools by advertising and promoting their classes, special events and West Coast Swing socials
• Provide information and assistance to those interested in attending International events including organising group travel
• Provide regular information to our email distribution group
• Foster communication with the World Swing Dance Council
• Maintain a Competitors Registry showing placements from all Major Events with a point system to be negotiated in the future with the World Swing Dance Council.
