Do you want to dance on National Television?

We are adding a new segment to series 2 called "Open Call". This gives any dancer in Australia the chance to perform on National Television.

Simply submit a video of your dancing in one of the genres above and each week we will select the most entertaining routine to appear in the show.

Our selection panel is looking for entertaining dancing that is technically correct - you do not have to be the best dancer we see, but if you do a move it must be technically correct. This puts the emphasis on entertainment, without showing our viewers the wrong way to do a move.

What if I dont live in Sydney?

No problem! We will fly the winning performer to Sydney for the filming. The flight will be down and back in the same day. If you wish to delay your return or fly down early and stay in Sydney at your own expense we can book flights to suit.

At Dance Alive Studios, 109 Regent St Chippendale

Do I have to buy music to choreo to?

No. All C31 stations have an arrangement with APRA that allows you to use any music you wish.

How long is the routine?

It needs to be long enough to show us what you can do, 2 minutes would be the minimum and 4 minutes maximum. The routine the winner(s) will be performing on the show will be 3 minutes flat.

Do I need to do hair and makeup?

No we are only interested in your personality and dance ability. The winner will have their hair and makeup styled by our professional artists on the day of filming.
